The magician shows a small box, pulls out he drawer and shows that it has a red ball inside. He also shows the inside of the box, that it's empty, then the ball again, so everyone would remember its red color.
He slides the drawer back in the box, a magic blow, and when he pull the drawer out again, the ball's color changed from ed to blue!
